Vocational Education

In 2004, the Learning Centre was fortunate to be able to launch a pilot project, through the Vocational Education Centre, in Introduction to Welding and Metal Forming Techniques.

The participating students were so successful that the program has been extended and expanded over the years. 

Students gain the knowledge and skill base required to excel in the welding and fitting industry, learning about print reading, parts preparation, parts handling, welding methods, material cutting, shaping methods, and assembly techniques.

The program offered by Vocational Education is a great opportunity for our students to be exposed to a highly skilled trade.

As of 2009, Learning Centre students also have the opportunity of taking Homecare at Voc. Ed.
